Deste modo, a sua ação visa a implementação de novas formas de aproximação ao património cultural, pela via da educação, da inovação e do conhecimento científico e tecnológico.
The mission of CIPEC is directed towards safeguard the cultural heritage of the territory, with the aim of reinforcing territorial identity with inclusive and sustainable social and economic development, in accordance with UNESCO guidelines. Thus, its action aims to implement new ways of approaching cultural heritage, through education, innovation and scientific and technological knowledge.
