A ação do CIPEC compreende o levantamento sistemático do património cultural do Concelho de Castelo Branco, pretendendo-se que a própria execução do Plano seja um espaço de participação e animação e que a investigação dela resultante tenha o máximo de divulgação e utilização. Apesar da dimensão concelhia, é também interesse investigativo identificar e aportar influências que estiveram na origem do património cultural deste território e cujos traços identitários se estabeleceram para além dessa mesma demarcação.
Considerando o papel determinante da Educação e Formação para a preservação do património cultural e, em particular, das memórias coletivas das comunidades, o plano estratégico compreende, ainda, uma forte aposta na vertente do conhecimento através da realização de investigação aplicada direcionada para a promoção de boas práticas que incorporem o património cultural em contextos diversificados, formais e não formais, de formação e de ensino/aprendizagem.
O Plano contempla ainda a divulgação de resultados de investigação na comunidade científica, nacional e internacional, e noutros públicos (que compreendem a população do território), profissionais da educação e da animação sociocultural, bem como agentes turísticos, económicos e criativos. A criação de uma plataforma digital de acesso aberto é um meio privilegiado de disseminação de manifestações do património cultural e garante da sua salvaguarda.
CIPEC’S work comprises the systematic survey of the cultural heritage of the county of Castelo Branco, with the intention that the implementation of the Plan provides a space for participation and cultural animation, and that the resulting research has the maximum dissemination and use. Despite the local dimension, it is also of interest in our research to identify and characterize influences that were the origin of the cultural heritage of this region, and through whose identity traits were established beyond these regional borders.
Bearing in mind the decisive role Education and Training have in the preservation of our cultural heritage and, in particular, of a community’s collective memory, a major component is of knowledge through the performance of applied research focussed on the promotion of good practices which incorporate cultural heritage in diverse contexts, formal and non-formal, of training and teaching/learning.
As regards Dissemination, the Plan includes the publishing of the results of the research for the academic community, national and international, and for other groups (which would include the local population), educational and sociocultural professionals, as well as those working in tourism, economic areas and creative fields. The creation of an open access digital platform is the preferred means for the dissemination of examples of cultural heritage and would guarantee they are safeguarded.
